His mother, Dr. Janice Connor has been a missionary to Jamaica for the past eighteen years, yet has raised Eddie and his brother Elijah to be standout men of excellence. On his travels back to the United States, Eddie recognized the call of God on his life at the age of twelve. Yet, betwixt his Jamaican and U.S. roots Eddie could attest to the fact even at a young age, that he was different. A product of a single parent household, along with his brother, Eddie realizes that he wasn't born with a "silver spoon" in his mouth, but was raised by a strong mother, who instilled in him life-long values and the importance of governing himself as a positive individual. These daily lessons in life prepared Eddie, for the biggest challenge of his life.Eddie's greatest test came at the age of fifteen, on January 1, 1998, when he was diagnosed with Cancer. Eddie preached his first message a few months later after the diagnosis at the age of fifteen in Kingston, Jamaica proclaiming from Psalm 118:17,"I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord." Eddie Connor affirms that he was Destined to Overcome the Odds.
