It gives particular attention to the imperial and global impact of the queen’s rule and her engagement with various colonial subjects across the globe.

Charles V. Reed is a historian of modern Britain and the British Empire and an Associate Professor of History at Elizabeth City State University. He is the author of Royal Tourists, Colonial Subjects, and the Making of a British World, 1860-1911 (2016) and the forthcoming An Empire of Justice: Race, Citizenship, and Belonging in Colonial South Africa, 1840-1923.
