Reva is the type of character I don't see much in the main characters I read so it was interesting to read behind the eyes of a bully. Though I'm not sure she truly learned anything, hence the sequel, but as all the pieces fell together and she saw the error in her ways, I really enjoyed this book! I wasn't expecting to read from two different point of views, which is why it kind of throw me off a little. There were two story lines that in the end connected. The other story was about Reva's cousin, Pam, who she is envy off. All Pam wanted was a job at her cousin's father's Department Store but Reva wouldn't have it. So this lead Pam and a couple of her friends to plan to rob her uncle's store. But of course that doesn't turn out as planned. It never does.... Throughout the story every character has motive to torment Reva because of her ways, so I was constantly bouncing back and forth trying to figure out who wanted to see her in pain and to scare her. Like, literally everyone had a reason to pull these pranks on her and I can honestly tell you right now that I cannot tell you for sure who did (not that I would spoil it, just out of the fact it's been over two weeks since I've read it haha). But I can definitely remember the main bad guy who did the killing and it was obvious/not obvious because literally it could have been any one of these characters! Reva was just that cold hearted! Overall, I thought Reva was going to be tormented just a little bit more than she was. Because of this I sometimes felt bored when I was reading behind her point of view. So Pam's story was sometimes more interesting but it was still surprising to be reading behind someone else's view, so sometimes I wasn't sure how I felt about this book. Like, that summary doesn't give any hint to Pam's story so it throw me for a loop and I was wondering "what was the point" because she isn't mentioned in the summary so I just wasn't expecting that. However, I enjoyed both tales and how they connected and where they lead! Though I did wish for more scares and creeps, I am excited to read the next book!
