He is one of the best pitchers in baseball and plays for the Chicago Cubs. Heather wins a drawing and gets a date with Clayton, one of the best pitchers in professional baseball.

They end up hooking up.

She ends pregnant but has no way to contact him because they didn't exchange cell phone numbers. Plus, he's a rich baseball player so it's nearly impossible to contact these kinds of people. Now years later, she keeps running into him and he doesn't even remember her.

She is scared to tell him that her kid is his, so she doesn't while they start to hangout and date…

If you have enough patience you can go ahead and read this book, though I was lacking in that area because the book is so long for no reason except the FL was a selfish b, why she didn't tell the guy i have no idea but this is the worst slow burn book ever because we were repeating the same thing over and over again. Readers were bound to lose interest along the way

Overall, it's a decent story but it needs better editing. The time line fluctuates. It happened 3 years ago but the child is 3 (pregnancy is 9 months). Then he's in kindergarten, which is age 5. Also it's disturbing that a parent would deem it acceptable to put their child it bed, lock the front door and go down the street to a neighbors house. Child neglect is not something I find attractive in the heroine of any story.

When they meet 3 years later he doesn't even recognize her, he has lost his career and his parents in two separate accidents and is drinking heavily, depressed and feels he has no future.
