Vermell Jolly Tucker lives in Florence New Jersey Her writing ability did not start with her Bachelor Degree in Communications. As a youth writer for the Philadelphia Tribune Paper, veterans on staff Chet Coleman and Masco Young mentored her weekly column, âTeen Time Newsâ. Her civic interests are to stop abuse of women in the Congo and human trafficking. Vermel believes that if men would not pay for prostitution, the crime would not exist. She is against domestic violence and animal abuse. Active in Hospice Care. Vermel Toured as a dancer and background singer with USO Tours. Venues like Radio City, Morton Republic Club, Faces, Lorettaâs and Cirors. Performed with Tiny Kennedy, Hortense Allen, Passionetsâ, Dap Sugar Willie, Brownettâ, Kenny Gamble and the Romeos, Record hops, Hy Lit, Ed Bradley and Tiny Kennedy. She toured the United States and Canada. She promoted events for Faces International and Convention Center. Has her FCC License. She worked for WDAS Radio Station and promos for WHAT and WUSL, theatrical plays âJack and the Bean Stalkâ and âWhen a child Cries.â Loves to play the piano and has written two Rap songs and one Gospel. She modeled for Jet center fold, Philly Talk Magazine, Allen Fashions, Fashion Flair Makeup, Carson Perry Scott, the Jean Joint, Hair Fashion magazines, newspapers advertisements and Commercials. She was Miss Schmidt Beer, Miss Old English and Ballantine Beer. Vermelâs accomplishments are to numerous to mention. Television appearances; George Woods, John Bandy, Jerry Lewis Telethon (with Hugh O Brian (Watt Earp), Shorty Longs âHere Comes the Judgeâ record, worked with Weldon McDougal of Motown, Steel Pier, Carsonâs Pierre Scott and Dancing on Air. Vermel was a talk show announcer for WCIAâs Dialing for Dollars and Nite Cap. She is currently working on her third book âNight Owl.
