Sis Deans is the author of Racing the Past, which was chosen as a Booklist Editor's Choice, a School Library Journal Best Book, and a CBC-NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People. She lives in Gorham, Maine, with her husband and three daughters.
