About the author

Raj Pal Singh is an Indian Army Veteran who was commissioned in June 1977 into 1/5 Gorkha Rifles (FF) which is one of the oldest and the finest Gorkha Battalions of the Indian Army. Though a permanent resident of Lucknow in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, he is now residing at Noida.
He has had experience in various sectors  and counterinsurgency operations. He also took part in the Sri Lanka Operations. His first field experience immediately after commission as a young officer was in the Chhamb Jaurian Sector in the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Despite being on the line of control, within hundred metres from the Pakistan post and with no fencing, he had experienced a very peaceful and congenial environment with no hostilities. It is a contrast to what prevails today and is what motivated him to write this book. He is also a member of the Film Writers Association.
