Brought up in Indian-Tibetan society as his father Dr. Kanta Prasad Verma was posted as a Teacher at Central School for Tibetans which is an educational institution working as a step to help Tibetan refugees by educating them and helping to conserve their identity, culture, and tradition.
Being a job that required the family to move to different parts of India, Ravi has gained a fair share of travel experiences since childhood. He mostly lived in the Hill stations which explains his love and reverence for nature.
Previously, his work mostly talked about nature and the effects of human interference.
