About this ebook

#1 New York Times bestselling author and TikTok sensation Rebecca Yarros sends readers on a heartwreck of a nine-month cruise where everyone has to keep their head—and heart—above water.

After two lost years, I’m forcing the wake-up call on my life with a nine-month work-study cruise. See the world, experience all of it to the fullest, and maybe (if I’m lucky) find the life I’ve lost.

I just wish I’d known what I was signing up for.

My scholarship depends on tutoring a student. But not just any student, oh no. That would be too easy. Instead I get Paxton Wilder, daredevil influencer and X Games champion. And wherever he goes, documentary cameras, groupies, and high-octane stunts will follow.

I want to hate him. I want to kick his arrogant ego right off this boat. But from the second we touch, my stomach does a full-on bungee jump and I know that Wilder is as much stay-away danger as he is addictive adrenaline.

Because I know what happens to guys who go looking for that next wild ride. And I know what happens to the girls who fall for them.

Now our fates are strapped together...and if he goes down, I don’t stand a chance.

Each book in the The Renegades series is STANDALONE:
* Wilder
* Nova
* Rebel

I was really excited about this one at the start. I was intrigued by Leah's character and the romance she clearly had ahead of her. But the writing and characters quickly became incredibly corny and unrealistic. The last several pages had me cringing and wanting the ending already. I thought I may have found a great new series to sink my teeth into but Leah and Wilder are so overly "mushy" and cheesy. Sorry :( done with these characters.

Wilder by Rebecca Yarros is the first book in her brand new Renegades series. It is a beautifully told story of finding love in the most unexpected of places with the most unexpected of people. Told in dual POV this story is well-written, perfectly paced and a complete emotional pleasure to read. Leah is the tutor that Pax chose to help him pass college this year-at-sea while simultaneously filming a documentary on his stunts around the world. Pax chose her for her academics and because she was the least likely candidate for him to screw things up with my sleeping with her. Little did he know that his little "firecracker" would knock the one of the world's greatest stunt performers directly on his ass. He not only wants her physically but he is falling for her in a way he never has for a woman before. Leah is excited to be able to take this year-at-sea trip until her best friend and roommate for the cruise comes down with mono, leaving her alone for the first trimester of school. Despite her past and her issues, she manages to make friends in the least likely of places, and despite him making her confront the worst of her fears, albeit unknowingly, she finds her closest friendship with Pax. She tries desperately not to fall for him, but he is like the sun and he smiles and shines at her and her walls melt, slowly, but they melt. I LOVED this story. I cannot wait for Landon story either! Coming soon (hopefully) Nova!

If I could give this book more than five stars I would! What an amazing start to a new series!! Leah Baxter is stepping out of her comfort zone to study abroad on a yearlong cruise. Her scholarship depends upon the success of her tutoring subject, Paxton Wilder, but she is determined to be successful so she and her roommate can make the most of this experience. She's hidden behind fear for too long to fail. Paxton Wilder is only interested in passing this year so that The Renegades documentary will be funded. The Renegades and chasing the next extreme adventure are his priorities. Neither Leah nor Pax can risk their chemistry getting in the way of their goals. I don't think any review can really do this story justice. It was the most unique book I've read in really long time. College on a cruise ship? This needs to be something offered in real life! This author did an amazing job connecting readers to all of the characters in the book. I felt every emotion the characters had from the very first page. I'm really looking forward to the rest of The Renegades stories!!! *I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*
