Marlene Weber studied English literature and linguistics as well as history in her BA-programme at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She focuses mainly on revolutions, Victorian England and the Jacobite Rising. For her graduation thesis, she wrote about the Scottish author Sir Walter Scott and the American author Diana Gabaldon ("Outlander"), focusing on how Scottish culture is established through textual means. She is currently involved in a one-year MA-programme at LMU to become a literary translator for English into German.
