About the author

James Clarke is chief RYA instructor for Bluewater Yachting in Antibes.
After a project management career in marine civil engineering, and a
circumnavigation via Suez and Cape Horn, he is now an RYA Ocean
Yachtmaster Instructor, skipper and freelance journalist. He is also
author of the Atlantic Pilot Atlas, now in its 4th edition, published by Adlard Coles Nautical.
