PIERA GELARDI is Executive Creative Director and co-founder of Refinery29. Prior to the launch of Refinery29, Piera was Photo Director at CITY magazine, which won an ASME for Best Photography as well as numerous SPDs under her direction. When she’s not burning the midnight oil at Refinery29, she’s breaking it down on the dance floor, religiously sending snail mail, or indulging her love of adventures in far-flung places. Piera lives in Brooklyn.
CHRISTENE BARBERICH is the Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of Refinery29. She’s also held posts at Gourmet magazine, The Daily, and, very early on, The New Yorker. Her fashion and design writing have appeared in T Magazine, Travel & Leisure, New York Magazine, Dwell, and Elle Decoration, among other cool titles. In addition to leading Refinery29 to world domination, she is relentlessly evangelizing the therapeutic properties of closet purging and hardcore thrifting. Christene lives in Brooklyn.
