All the praises I wrote for the first volume are still here. Added with some more thrilling scenes and getting deeper into intrigue. Sometimes, written in different perspective from the point of view other than Iris and it is written so well that it isn't like slapping the story without thinking. In fact, the different perspective supporting the flow of the story. Once again, this is a great works!!!

the character growth along with all of the swirling plot elements both clearly stated and in the background was astounding. the progression of the books pacing is just the perfect amount of character growth and entertainment. truly a fantastic read. it almost feels like you are reading from a historic noble womans memoirs and diary. truly a real experience that makes you feel connected and apart of the story.

After reading this, I can see the powerful, merciful and fragile sides of Iris.
