About this ebook

Nandi being Lord Shiva’s vehicle, is always found sitting at the doorway of the temple in a perpetually silent but alert waiting mode. Nandi thus has gained on a symbolism, teaching us the virtue of simply sitting, vigilant but without expectations. The image of Nandi essentially reminds us to pause and pay attention to life. Only in the pauses can the music of the Universe be heard.

About the author

Renica is an aesthete who believes that there is no greater achievement than a humble, content life. Born and raised in Mumbai, she moved to Dubai in her twenties and worked a nine-to-five job that she greatly disliked. During this time, she studied creative writing/songwriting and freelanced as a writer. She is also trained in and diligently practices yoga and Reiki because it helps add serenity to life. She now lives in Mumbai with her family in a home brimming with laughter, a growing collection of plants, and a number of unfinished projects. When not enjoying good music, affordable wine, and deep conversations, you can catch her either obsessing over the next meal or writing odes to the moon. Written under the pseudonym, Zara, her first book of Urdu poems, Mukammal, was published last year. This is her second book.
