About the author

Dr. R. Ganesan, Advisor (Academic Research) and Professor of Eminence in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in B.S. Abdur Rahman University, holds a B.E. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering from IITM and Ph.D. in Corporate Modelling and Simulation from IITM. Prior to this, he held positions as Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dean, School of Mechanical and Building Sciences and Dean (Academic Research) in the same University. He also has a rich industrial experience of 35 years in various capacities. His research interest includes modelling and simulation, supply chain management and alternative fuel. He has published and presented more than 30 papers both in national and international journals and has guided several PG projects and research scholars. He was the Editor of “Crescent Research Abstracts”, an annual publication of the University. Dr. Ganesan is an associate member of the Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering, member of Institute of the Highway Transport and a former Chairman of the Indian Institute of Road Transport.
