Jewel Winters, a 24-year-old single mother, has had her fair share of trials and tribulations. Since childhood, she's had to battle with her verbally abusive, alcoholic mother. She graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a B.S. in criminal justice, and has a master’s degree in special education from Coppin State University.
