I do hate the word "Final" always wonder if that means the real end of a great series. But then, Elfquest has been there for years and years. I specially love the combination with the history of the art, even the chosen lettertypes, all at the end of thi issue. For those who don't know Elfquest it will be a trigger to get back to the very beginning of Wendy and Richard's work. The storyline in this edition could have been a bit smoother I think. It feels a bit like 2 or 3 plots are woven together in a bit of a mash, but it doesn't hurt the reading to much. However, I think, when you don't know the first years of Elfquest, it is hard to just begin somewhere here, at the end. So my advice would be to read all earlier books before continuing with The Final Quest
