About the author
Richard Schmidt (B.1967) was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to a middle class family, grew up in Essex and Morris counties, New Jersey. Graduated from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as a dental Hygienist in 1996. After 15 years of clinical dental hygiene practice in New York, New Jersey, and Nevada, realizing the need to teach the importance of good dental hygiene to people, especially children, he created the Plaque Pixie Children's Book Series. Which is designed to provide young children and the parents the opportunity to learn the importance of good oral hygiene. Additionally, the books allow for children to experience what goes on during a routine dental visit, in a fun light hearted way.
