About the author

Richard Sibbes (1577-1635) was an English Puritan theologian and preacher. He served as a lecturer at Holy Trinity Church in Cambridge and later as Master of Catherine Hall, Cambridge. Sibbes was known for his warm, affectionate style of preaching and his emphasis on the love and grace of God.
