This is my first book by this author in this world and although reading the other stories may have helped I didnt feel like I was missing anything. I hadn't realized this was only the first book in a trilogy however. The author does a good job of getting the reader to understand and like Zeus, which is not a small feat. Brigit was harder as there was so much we still don't know about her.

The story line was a good idea but written by someone who was in a drug induced haze. The villain is sometimes the hero who has a heart of ice but also a damaged soul... This is like listening to a dramatic teenager. I was bored by the ending which was a piss poor cliff hanger. In the end, I just didn't care any more.

I loved this story. I fell in love with her writing style and how smoothly and beautifully this story flowed. The characters were absolute darlings, and I wished I had more time to spend with them. I loved the romance, the steam, and the determination of theirs to battle their pasts and continue to live their lives as they deserved to. The dialogues and the intriguing plot kept me going and guessing about every move they made and I was so here for it. Gah, I never thought I could love a book like Richer than God so much as I did every day I spent with it. I would sincerely recommend this to fans of Amelia Wilde and readers who love romances similar to Richer than God.
