About this eBook

Enter the gritty biker world of the Raising Hellfire MC series where these L.A. bikers drink hard, drive fast, and dig deep for love.

Bike mechanic Lucy Black is running out of luck. With an attitude louder than a Harley engine, her mouth is always getting her in trouble and she’s been fired, again. Desperate for money to send home to support her kid sister, Lucy takes a housekeeping job at Wilde Hotel, the adopted home of the Raising Hellfire MC. After a steamy moonlit encounter with a dark stranger, Lucy is horrified to find out he’s her new boss so she’s more determined than ever to make her hotel stay brief.

Jake “The Iceman” Slade is drowning in guilt and can’t give himself a break. A tragic accident on set made him step away from his job as a real life action hero in the film lots of Hollywood. Now he’s reluctantly agreed to run his half-sister’s hotel, Wilde’s, while she’s away, trying to keep it—and himself—from going under. Lucy is the kind of trouble he can’t afford, but can’t seem to resist. But with an equally troubled past, will Lucy be the fire to melt his frozen heart?

After months of being hassled on the job, Lucy Black was let go. The men couldn’t deal with a woman who was a better bike mechanic than they were. Without a job, with no money to pay the rent and support her 15 year-old sister Katie, Lucy needs work ASAP. The only thing she finds is housekeeper at Wilde’s Hotel, home of the Raising Hellfire MC. If only they would hire her as a mechanic instead. Jake Slade is managing Wilde’s Hotel in the absence of his half-sister Briony. Jake, an actor and stuntman, needs a break after an error in judgement caused the death of a fellow stuntwoman. Trying to relax, Lucy was floating in the hotel pool in her underwear, when Jake thinks she’s drowning and “rescues” her. To say the least, Lucy is not too happy, but Jake is hot and there’s nothing a little sex won’t fix, even temporarily. But the morning after, Lucy realises that Jake is her new boss… And don’t imagine for one minute you know how it will all go, because none of the usual silliness happens here. Lucy is an in-your-face, tough, brash heroine, the likes of which we seldom see. She’s reckless, fearless, abrasive, however she makes dangerous decisions, and this is where Ms. De Winton showed how well she can write action scenes as well as anyone. I was also impressed by the author’s vast knowledge of motorcycles. I feared for a fleeting moment that Jake would turn Dom on us, but thank goodness, I was wrong. The sex scenes are excellent, and rather poetic, offering a sharp contrast to Lucy’s personality. Strangely enough though, my favourite character was Lucy’s sister, Katie, who even though she has but a small part, is very well written and sounds like a real 15 year-old. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is the latest release in Michele de Winton's Raising Hellfire MC series and it's a very enjoyable one! Lucy is a fantastically strong female character. She's funny, snarky, sassy, and a woman who knows exactly what she wants. After her smart mouth gets her fired - again. All she wants is to work as a motorcycle mechanic but she seems to have burned all those bridges. So Lucy has no choice but to take a job as a housekeeper at a local hotel. This hotel just happens to be the hangout for the local Hellfire MC and run by the man she recently shared a fantastic night of passion Jake Slade.Determined to make her dream a reality Lucy finds herself in all kinds of trouble. Trouble Jake doesn't need but can't stay away from. Don't miss this one. It's hot, it's fun, it's completely entertaining. I highly recommend it.

About the author

Being a writer was not what Michele de Winton was supposed to be when she ‘grew up’. But then neither was being a dancer! It’s no wonder a little sparkle of the stage is often in her work. Living in in New Zealand with her husband and two small boys after traveling a plenty, she writes from an office where the sound of the tapping keyboard is the only distraction. Okay, that’s a lie. Those boys are noisy, and busy, and into everything, but then, what boys ain't She finds wine very useful for tempering reality, and chocolate helps too, especially when it’s mixed with alcohol.

Michele likes her heroines smart and sassy. Girls can do anything right? But the heroes have to be a match as well, so you can count on men who know just how to make a woman melt. And she always kisses and tells.
