About this ebook

Buy a planet and disappear...That's all Cole wanted. He spent thirteen years hiding on the fringes of society, piloting freighters for criminals and building a stash to do just that. But life happens when you're busy making plans. When Cole chooses to save an ejected castaway and stumbles into a crew of his own, he starts down a path that will force him to choose. Will Cole protect those who have become his people? Or will he slip away quietly in the night?

Very much enjoyed this book. Engaging from the start; it kept me hooked until the end. 4.5 stars - a wee bit off for a bit of melodrama from a female officer that I wasn't sure was entirely plausible. But otherwise great fun.

it took a whole but being a part of Cole building his ships personnel and then being the Lone Marine of the universes made for a very interesting read. I particularly liked that he defended the underdogs and didn't like bullies.

An incredible story that is as amusing as it is intriguing. I could see my son playing the lead role in a movie based on this story. Haha! It would be a great movie because it is a great story. Well-written and with everything fabulously done, including wonderful characters. I highly recommend this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
