Writing about music, something that has become a focal point in my life has, has been on my mind for a long time. I began this without any formal training; however, with the help of good friends, I have been able complete the task. It has been a challenge, but it has also been a lot of fun. I felt there were many things that should be told about this group of amateur musicians. Not about their abilities as much as their success. We have proven that you do not have to be professionals in order provide good music to a lot of very thankful people. I grew up in a rural area of Nova Scotia, Canada, in a small village called Upper Musquodoboit. I spent most of my life in the province and the last fifty years in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with my wife, Vivian, and three sons: Corey with his wife, Karen; Kendall with his wife, Krista; and Joe with his wife, Rhonda. We also have four beautiful grandchildren: Courtney, Sarah, Rachael, and Chelsey. Most of my working career was spent with Canada Post, of which the latter years I worked in marketing and sales.
