I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Griff and Dawn's story is one of heartbreak, struggles, guilt, fears, doubts, mistakes and second chances. What should have been over decades ago, is now brought back to life. I was surprised at how easily these two reconnected after so long. To me that is a long time to still be able to recognize redeeming characteristics. I might have taken a lot more convincing. Z will win in the end though. 3.5

Griffin and Dawn were high school sweethearts. They get pregnant right when they were finishing school. They were married and lived together for tears. Griffin at 20 years old felt trapped, even suffered from depression. He divorces Dawn and leaves unexpectedly. After his father's death he returns to their hometown with the plan to make things right, better between his daughter and ex wife. The sparks are still there and soon a lot is being done in response to those sparks.

Second chance romances are some of my favorite stories...helps you know that maybe your story isn't complete just yet. Dawn and Griff are the perfect example of not over just yet...loved their story!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
