Even though there are three in this relationship, there are two that are too scared to open up their hearts fully. One's worried that they're not enough for the other two, and the other is only wanting one of them. Talk about a love triangle that's confusing with a whole lot of heat thrown in. Its hard to put down once you start, wondering what's going to come next. Watching them all really fall in love with each other is worth it. Then the guys past comes around to attack and she gets dragged in. Good thing she's tougher than she looks. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love that Maura is such a strong character. She has her doubts but overall she is steadfast and strong. She is stubborn. I love that Zeke and Rory are able to bring her sassy out to play. I love that Zeke seems open, but holds his most prized secrets close to the vest. I love that Rory's heart starts to heal. The danger was well written and came from an unexpected place, well unexpected for the guys. It is always fun to revisit the Rough n Ready family. Maura Dillon does things her way. Rory McAllister likes to be dominant, and Maura sure likes that about him. Zeke Bryant enjoys watching them. Rory suggests a no-regrets trip to Hawaii which sounds like a no-brainer kind of question to me. Heck yeah -- go and have as much fun as possible. Both of these guys together are beyond Maura's wildest dreams - she is one lucky woman.

About the author

From an early age, USA Today Bestselling author Melissa Schroeder loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book.

Since her first published book, Grace Under Pressure, Mel has had over 100 short stories, novellas, and novels published. She has written in genres ranging from historical to contemporary to futuristic and has worked with 8 publishers although she handles most of her publishing herself. She is best known for her Harmless and Santini series.

After years of following her military husband around the country and world, Mel happily lives with her family in horse and wine country in Northern Virginia.
