Von Wien kommend erreicht man Eisenstadt in etwa einer Stunde mit der Bahn oder dem Bus. Die Stadt alleine zu erkunden ist sehr einfach. Der Linienbus hält am Domplatz, von dort ist man in ein paar Minuten im Stadtzentrum. Vom Bahnhof sind es nur etwa zehn Minuten, bis man im autofreien Zentrum eintrifft.
Für das erste Kennenlernen, oder wenn man nicht viel Zeit hat, kann man auch mit dem Esterházy Bus nach Eisenstadt kommen. Der Bus verkehrt Anfang Mai bis Ende September. Die Touren finden jeweils freitags, samstags und sonntags statt und starten um 09:15 Uhr in Wien, wohin man um 16:00 Uhr wieder zurückkommt.
