About this ebook

I don’t want to fall for the town’s golden boy. I want to stay on my side of the street and keep him away from the life I’ve managed to build for myself.

He’s everything I’m not. Professional athlete turned hero with a badge on his chest and a pair of cuffs on his hip. I’m a walking disaster, and he’s not afraid to point it out.

So why does the hate between us feel like more?

One at a time, the walls I’ve built to stay safe come crashing down until I’m barely able to decide if I want to punch him or tear his clothes off.

When I’m thrown in over my head and all my secrets come to light—Carter is the only one who can save me… unless he’s too late.

This is Carter & Avery’s story.

No Perfect Love is an opposites attract romantic suspense with a happily ever after. Each book in the Birch Harbor: Coming Home series can be read as a stand-alone, but the stories do interconnect.

This title was previously published, and has undergone significant changes that will impact the reader's experience and perception of characters. Please read the Author’s Note for further details.

I loved this story!!! It was excited to get back into the world of Birch and read about some familiar characters. The story is a stand alone read though it does feature comments and dialogues from other Birch characters. The story is about Avery and Carter. Carter has recently moved back to town and is ending his training as a Birch police officer. He is at a birthday party with his training officer, Remy, when he sees a spitfire putting a guy on his knees for touching her. He steps in a grabs t

This was quite an emotional read that has just enough lightness to it that it doesn’t completely overwhelm you. Plenty of depth to the storyline. Great action drama suspense romance and just the right amount of steam. Very likable character with plenty of depth to them. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Rue loves to torture her readers. She smiles while ripping out their hearts with her words. Then she finishes off the torment by holding their hearts in her hand with a straw punched through the top and a few pieces of fruit and a little umbrella while she plots new and inventive ways to make her readers love to hate her.

You know the stories Rue loves to write. The ones filled with heroes who make you swoon, anti-heroes who smile viciously as the world burns down around them, just as long as the woman they love stands at their side… Then there are the happily ever afters that bring you to your knees whether you want to be there or not.

If you can’t find Rue sitting in her office or on the deck staring at the trees, she might be found curled up in a blanket in the middle of the summer or hiding in plain sight in a bookstore while she enthusiastically chats up strangers like its her job.
