About the author

Rukmani Anandani has been, in turn, a mathematician, an accountant, a journalist, a photographer and an activist. Her first short story, Wanted a Wife, was published in The Patriot. Her stint in journalism started with the Bangkok Post and later included The Indian Express, India Today and The Sunday Mail. Her freelance photographs have appeared in many publications including The Illustrated Weekly and The Week.
