I really enjoyed this book. This is the first book I have had the opportunity to read by this author. Some of my favorite characters were Colt and Angelina. But I also enjoyed reading about Colt's father, Sam. It seems like he had a major transformation in his life, and it was fun to read about it and watch him bond with his children who were estranged and choose a new path. It was great proof that there is always possibility for change. I also enjoyed the faith aspect of the book. I can't really think of anything about the book that I just didn't like. Of course there were some characters that weren't quite as lovable, but they made the story interesting, and added depth. I am really looking forward to reading book two, which as far as I can tell is about Colt's brother Nick. In this particular book, Nick is a struggling dad, whose wife left him and his two girls. He is having a hard time admitting the need for help. His children are suffering from his lack of understanding of their needs. He would probably be the character you'd want to smack some sense into, but his emotional state is understandable considering what he has gone through. I can't wait to see things turn around for him. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good clean story of redemption. I received this book courtesy of blogging for book to read. I was not asked or required to review positively.
