About this ebook

Ryoma Mikoshiba, an ordinary high-schooler adept at martial arts, one day finds himself summoned to another world.

The ones who summoned him, the O’ltormea Empire, cite the fact that 'when those summoned kill another living being, they can absorb a fraction of their strength and make it their own' as their reason.

But upon learning the empire uses those they summon to strengthen themselves by foul means, Ryoma is consumed by hatred and slays an important member of the O’ltormean court.

Attempting to escape the Empire's borders while keeping his identity a secret, he is accosted by twin sisters— one golden-haired, the other silver-haired— in a meeting that sets the gears of fate in motion.

The curtain rises on a record of the wars of a young supreme ruler in this other world fantasy!

I have finished reading the first five books of the series. First book was fun and enjoyable. If you are looking for a one book escape with some new interesting characters. There are new twists to the summon to a new world that make it a very interesting first book. However, as a previous reviewer mentions the subsequent books are "short". The big problem here is there redundant explanations in each book that make you want to skip more and more text an author should never ever repeat themselves unless it is a summary upfront you know the what has happened previously so that an engaged reader can skip because they know / read the others books beforehand. The worst part about "short" is each book actually contains less and less action. The best way to explain it is I am at the end of book five and the MC hasn't even made it to the title country of Wortenia! Having decided to look ahead as in free samples and introductions by volume 13 the MC hasn't made it out of Wortenia which is a small territory of a smaller country and the whole time the MC is suppose to be fighting / struggling against the largest country which is by far the strongest country on the continent! At this rate it will be over 100 light novels before we get to the main battle/war! Sorry the pacing is all wrong these "subsequent" books, and they need to be rewritten at best or at min be marginalized with a second series that gets the author back to the first book style of writing! To emphasize this point the last two books spend over a hundred pages, if not two, leading up to a major battle that basically never happens!!! Which makes the reader believe that in book 100 the MC wins because the bad guys gives up! There I wrote the end for the author and didn't take 99 books to get there! What happened to this series?!?!?! It is a complete train-wreck right now! The first book rating is easily a four star book. However the next four books cause it to be a one star review from me! I may check back on the series sometime in the future for now I am pulling the plug on this one! In my mind the last series to go so bad was Goblin Slayer. BTW GS's first book was a five star rating. I made it to book seven in GS before pulling the plug on that series.

Good read. Too bad the rest of the series is less than 200 pages per book. Rip off
