About this ebook

Carter Remington is a stand-up kind of guy. He leads a quiet life, running his landscaping business and working out at the gym. Family is one of his main concerns. He likes to make sure his brothers and his parents are all okay. He used to think he’d have a family of his own to take care of someday. But that dream died the day he found his wife in bed with one of the ranch hands.

He’s realistic about his options these days. He’s content. He doesn’t need or expect any more than that in life. At least not until his favorite country singer, Summer Breese, comes to stay in the valley. She’s his dream girl and even sweeter in person than she seems in the media. She even seems to like him, too! But what’s the point? She won’t be here for long. Carter can’t let himself fall for her. He knows it’ll break his heart when she has to leave.

Summer Breese has come to Paradise Valley to recuperate. Her singing career was going from strength to strength until the day she found herself unable to speak above a whisper. Her doctors have recommended rest—for three months. Will three months be long enough to recover her voice, and will it be too long for her to resist, big, sweet Carter?

This book is intended for adult readers aged 18+

Love in Nashville

Everyone knows that Nashville is the home of country and with so many Country songs about love it seems natural to find love in Nashville. Unfortunately, just like the road to the Grand Ole Opry, so many aspire but only the lucky ones, who work at it, find harmony center stage.

Reading a book by SJ McCoy is like a comfy blanket on a cold day. I absolutely love SJ's stories and each of her characters feel like real people, you will find yourself wanting to be apart of the group. Carter like the other two books in the series follows one of the very sexy and very different Remington Brothers. Carter is quiet, muscular landscaper who has had his heart broken in the past. I fell in love with Carter when we first met him in the other books. There is just something about the big softy that just makes you just want to give him a big ol' hug!!! Then along comes Summer Breeze, the famous country singer from Nashville in need of a break from the fast paced music industry. Despite working in such an industry full of celebrities, money and fame, Summer is as sweet as can be and doesn't seem to really fit in with all the big wigs. These two have an instant chemistry and you can feel the emotions between them building through out their journey. But with Carters life in Montana and Summers career in Nashville, are these two doomed before they even start? Can Carter get over his heartache from the past? Another amazing story from SJ McCoy and once again I am left waiting excitedly for the next one!!!

This latest installment of the Remington Ranch series continues the trend of feel-good romances from SJ McCoy. Carter and Summer's romance is both hopeful and bittersweet, with a perfect happy ending. I could see what needed to happen to solve the lover's dilemma, but the way it happened was a bit of a surprise. If anything, though, I contemplated knocking off half a star for the few and--hmmm--rather lackluster sex scenes. They were, to me, far less steamy than the other books. I didn't mind so much--I know I may be in the minority, but I get tired of sex scenes. So maybe it was me more than the writing. I have to say, though, I think I know what's going to happen in Beau's story. Or at least, WHO is going to happen to Beau. Should be fun. I predict seeing much more of a precocious little child named Ruth.

About the author

Hi, I'm SJ, a coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write 'Sweet n Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)
