I understand a recap maybe necessary, for those too lazy to read the previous books in a series; however, too much is worse. So much of each story is devoted to informing the read about what happened in the previous book(s). Instead of allowing readers to experience the lives of dynamic characters, we are trapped in a static plot line of previous books, without enough detail to empathize. Therefore the reader becomes an impartial observer rather than a fellow adventurer.

Loved it! Minor typos and I didn't like how Elise's current bf suddenly jumped in since he didn't quite fit in the picture though. Any other normal person introduced to such a life probably would of crapped themselves wherein he and Betty handled it fairly decently, him more than her.

I found this book a poor read. I came across words and people who's role I didn't understand or had to look the meaning up. It has the potential but I ended up reading it cos I had to (as I started it and wanted to finish) and not because I wanted to.
