The book was jointly released by veteran cine artiste Mr. Randhir Kapoor and Consul General for the Russian Federation, Mr. Alexander V. Mantytsky हे बंध आहेत, पण बंधनं नाहीत. ना काळाच, ना भौगोलिक परिसीमांची, ना राजकीय पातळीवरील अपेक्षित, अनपेक्षित बदलांची. आज सहा दशवंâ लोटल्यानंतरही ज्या अर्थी हे बंध पुराणे झालेले नाहीत, त्या अर्थी कुठं तरी ‘अंतरीची ओळख-खूण’ पटलेली आहे. आपण एकमेकांना विदेशी-परदेशी न मानावं, इतके आपण जवळचे आहोत. कितीतरी सोव्हिएत आणि रशियन कवी-कलावंतांनी या बंधांना आपापल्या कृतींमधून साज चढविलेला आहे. कवी रसूल गमझातव यांना स्त्रीच्या ललाटावरील वुंâकुमतिलक हे तिचं ओळखपत्र वाटतं, तर स्व्यातस्लाव रेरिख यांना लक्ष्मीदेवता ही महन्मंगल सृजनाची मूर्ती वाटते. इल्या ग्लझुनोव या चित्रकारानं भारतीय राष्ट्रध्वजाच्या पाश्र्वभूमीवर आपल्या वुंâचल्यानं पंडित नेहरू असे विलक्षणरीत्या चितारले आहेत, की वाटावं आत्ता याच क्षणी ते हस्तांदोलनासाठी पुढं होतील.नुकताच उभय देशांच्या राजनैतिक संबंधांचा हीरकमहोत्सव साजरा केला गेला. त्या साठाच्या आकड्यावर पुढे आणखी कितीही शून्यं चढली, तरी हे बंध जुने होणार नाहीत. कधीच नाही.
