I enjoyed this book. It does have a taboo romance with Clancy getting intimate with his deceased wife's daughter, although they never spent much time together but he did use his money to help take care of her while she was in boarding school and college. Serena has lost her job and needs a place to stay so she asks Clancy for help. He is immediately attracted to her but tries his best to ignore it and stay far away from the temptation. Things get steamy when Serena tries to go out wearing practically nothing one night. They are together for months when Selena finds out that she is pregnant. Will Clancy want the child with her or was she just a fling. This was a very steamy story. It was a tad crazy being that Selena was Clancy's step-child but I love forbidden romance stories and I ate this one up. Can't wait to read this author's next story! I received a review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

Selena has returned to Clancy’s home after being sent away to a boarding school when she was ten years old after her mother died and her stepfather didn’t know what to do with her. They have been sharing the same penthouse for a little while before Clancy breaks and kisses Selena. One thing leads to another and they are now in a relationship which leads to a happily ever after. I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

This was an interesting story by S.E. Law. I was caught up in the story from the first page. I didn't want it to end. I loved the interactions between Selena and Clancy. Clancy is Selena's stepfather but he hasn't seen her since she left bordering school. He was only married to her mother for a few months before her death. Selena showed up one day out of the blue looking for a place to stay. Clancy can't believe how grown up she has become. He is surprised that he is attracted to her. Selena is very attracted to him as well and wants more. Soon their passions flare out of control and they realize that they have something more. Will they be able to find a happily ever after? I received an ARC from the author/publisher for an honest.
