साकेत सूर्येश राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र में रहते हैं और एक बहु-राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनी में कार्यरत हैं। पिता के फौजी जीवन की कृपा से लेखक का बाल्यकाल अलग अलग स्थानों में गुज़रा, परिणामतः एक खानाबदोश बचपन ने साकेत के लेखन को कई क्षेत्रों का सूक्ष्म ढलाव और तनाव दिया। साकेत का कथा संकलन एवं कविता संकलन अंग्रेजी में प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं। हालाँकि साकेत पहले दैनिक जागरण, ओप -इंडिया, डेली ओ जैसे माध्यमों में लिखते रहे हैं, लेखक का यह हिंदी व्यंग्य में पुस्तक रूप में संकलन-बद्ध निबंध एकत्रित करने का प्रथम प्रयास है।
