About the author

L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) was an American author best-known for his children's books, particularly 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'.

Samantha Newman is a full-time children's book editor who lives in London, with her fiance. In her spare time, she rings the changes by writing children's books. During her infrequent desk breaks, she enjoys yoga, cooking and befriending the birds in the park.

Alex Paterson is a highly-experienced artist who has illustrated books for Orion, Egmont, Random House, Harper Collins, Oxford University Press, Orchard, Igloo, Wayland and Michael O Mara. His work has also been exhibited in the Cartoon Museum. He lives in Warwickshire, in the United Kingdom.
