The second in the series of Josephine and her life in France with Napoleon. This novel shows a more human side to Napoleon. Newly married Josephine and Napoleon are busy rebuilding France, and raising Josephine's two children from her first marriage. This is an exciting and intriguing look at the monarchy.

Sandra Gulland is the author of the Josephine Bonaparte series, Mistress of the Sun, and The Shadow Queen. She lives in Killaloe, Ontario and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
