 Xoe Meyers had a normal life. So she was stuck going to high school, and she only had a few friends to call her own. She liked her normal life. Things were about to change though, because there's a new guy in her small town, and he is anything but normal. Before Xoe can say, "Werewolf," her best friend's life is in peril, and Xoe's world is turned upside-down. Then, of course, there's Jason. Xoe doesn't trust him as far as she can throw him, and given that he's a vampire, she'd have to be able to catch him first.

Ratings and reviews

They accepted things way too quickly and things felt rushed and forced. Romance between Xoe and vampire Jason feels unnatural. Xoe suddenly found out she was half demon and she didnt care about her human friends anymore. Childhood buddy Brian got burnt and became an excuse for Xoe to get it on with Jason. Allison got hurt real bad trying to protect them and Xoe only gets angry after her oh so handsome charming vampire with accelerated healing Jason gets kicked a little. Wow Xoe is such a "good" friend!

Lots of details, just not where it counts. The author spends too much time describing nonessential things like seating locations, furniture placement, clothing, etc... It was detracting and took away from the story. I just couldn't get into it. Plus, the characters were so BLAH 😕 I would say it's more of a kids book, but w/ there shorter attention span I think they would give up on it after a few pages.

Quick read, decent quality writing. Though, once I started I couldn't stop! Gotta get my hands on the whole series. Now time to go draw some fan art...
