Cultural differences create difficulties in Madeline and Rebel's relationship beyond just medicine man vs. doctor of medicine. I was hooked on this book from the beginning. Maddie's big life change was fascinating to read about, and I liked her character quite a bit. However, Rebel steals the show. He is enigmatic, sexy and so perfect for Maddie that I couldn't put "Mystic Cowboy" down…If you like contemporary stories about Native Americans and/or cowboys, you can't miss with "Mystic Cowboy." Considering this was a free download and an accidental Google result, I really didn't have high expectations for this story. I expected good-enough. What I found was an addictive story about a people. I was "outflanked" by the people in this book many times, and I couldn't be more grateful for it. The romance is magnetic and the love story of heritage and community is beautiful even in the darkness of a mysterious illness. I really cannot express how much I learned from this story and recommend to all.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Madeline and Rebel. But why were the first few lines in each chapter so jumbled?... you couldn't make sense of them!

This story kept me interested all the way to the end.
