Nothing will ever compare to this book series. They are short, sometimes sad, sometimes gross, sometimes scary, sometimes sweet, and sometimes, unexpectedly funny. but they are still to the point and straight forward. No one will ever know how awesome these books truely were. Especially during the 90s/2000s, unless you were lucky enough to live in that time. I will reread this books as long as I live ❤️ I can't recommend them enough. They are 10/10!

This one freaked me out. So let me tell u in emoji and words so u can get more creeped. 👶👧🙍🙆🙅💇 ☺ then when it was dark at the forest she went to the campfire 🔥 she heard that she should never be awake past 3:00 but she was as hard head as ever so she woke up extra early. Then she heard something she needed to use the bathroom so she ran 🏃 as fast as she could but she heard it again 👻 aaaaaaagh was the last words I heard her say then she screamed but this story was meant to be a campfire story told so if u see my rate the she might of died oof-also never wake up at 3:00 it's scary

I loved this (and the others) when I was a kid and they were amazingly horrifying! The illustrations are more scary than the stories lol. Many of the stories are based on different folk lore back in the day before streaming this was most likely how kids learned the stories. My 2nd grade daughter loves these books in ebook form now which has been fun. Not at all a book for adults but perfect for horror loving kids or those of us who grew up with them.
