About the author
Wolf Karge, 1951 in Schwerin geboren, wuchs in Heiligendamm auf. Nach dem Studium des Archivwesens und der Geschichte in Potsdam und Berlin und der Promotion an der Universität Rostock war er im Staatsarchiv Schwerin tätig, ehe er für vierzehn Jahre an das Kulturgeschichtliche Museum Rostocks ging, dessen Direktor er wurde. Viele Jahre leitete er das Technische Landesmuseum Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V. Heute ist Wolf Karge freiberuflich als Publizist und Autor tätig. Seine zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen, darunter mehrere Bücher im Hinstorff Verlag, befassen sich vor allem mit der Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns.
