true story recounted by the Roman historian Tacitus, this is the story

 Mike C. Bishop is a freelance writer, publisher, and archaeologist who walks, drives, cycles, flies, tweets, blogs, draws, and photographs Hadrian’s Wall armed only with a Creative Commons licence. He is the author of *Lorica Segmentata Vol. 1*; *Corstopitum: An Edwardian Excavation*; numerous dull excavation reports; and co-author (with J. C. N.
