Piper and Rayne always seem to keep the best for last with these three book series. Even Hannah said it of herself and Roarke, lol. But, it’s true. Victoria and Reed were a fantastic start in Manic Monday, then Chelsea and Dean took up the torch and carried it proudly into an Afternoon Delight, leaving Roarke and Hannah with Happy Hour. Roarke didn’t start out in the best of lights in Hannah’s eye, what with him being her ex’s lawyer and all, but once he decided that he’d given her enough time to get over her anger at him, he made his move. The intensity that Roarke brought to the table was felt even through my kindle. This man is hot with a capital H. Volcanic in fact, and Hannah matches him with her own fire. Their banter lit up a room and the sexual tension just bubbled under the surface. When Roarke comes up with a devilish plan for them to get to know one another better, Hannah wants to say no, but with the Gala hanging in the balance she has to give him a chance. That’s all Roarke needed, one chance and boy did he make good on it. Hannah got to see the real man behind his tough, no nonsense mask and it brought her walls down. The push and pull between them kept the story moving forward, Hannah is quite the match for this sexy, cocky man. She’s her own woman and knows she doesn’t need a man, but she can want to have one. She still needs her friends though and seeing all three together is like watching family get together. I do wish that Piper and Rayne would write these books in dual POV, it would be so great to get to see what Roarke was thinking. But, still, this was a fabulous read and I can’t wait for the Bianco brothers’ stories that are coming next.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review** This third book in the Charity Case series and it was definitely worth the wait! We've all been wondering about the "Silver Fox" throughout the first two books and let me just say that Roarke was worth all the suspense! Roarke Baldwin is one of the most sought after divorce attorneys in the city. He's tough, known to be ruthless and always does his best by his clients. The one thing he has going against him at the moment is the fact that he represented the ex-husband of the woman who he would do anything to attract her interest. Hannah Crowley is just trying to do her job. She's throwing a gala and she needs a venue. The person who offers to come to her rescue is Roarke, the man that always seems to have his eyes on her when she and her friends frequent their favorite private club. Hannah is smart, sexy and extremely gun-shy when it comes to men after her ex cheated on her and made her trust in men tank completely. The sad thing is, she's definitely attracted to Roarke, but she wants nothing to do with him! When Roarke offers to help her with her venue issue, he in turn asks for five favors. Of course Hannah jumps to the wrong conclusions and she's stunned by the things he's asking her to do. As these two spend more time together, will her opinion of the legal eagle change? This book was fast-paced, sexy, sassy and one that you just didn't want to put down. I would highly recommend picking up this latest gem from Piper Rayne!

4.5* Hannah and Roarke share quite a contentious relationship, stemming from the fact he represented her ex-husband in their divorce proceedings, which left her with some not so very nice feelings towards him. And who can blame a girl? But lord, Roarke was not going to be deterred when it came to his pursuit of her! Happy Hour is a fun, sexy, enemies-to-lovers story about two very strong, determined, and independent people who think they know exactly what they want out of life, until they take the time to really get to know each other. I really liked Roarke's character- he's not quite what you'd expect and I enjoyed getting to know all facets of him. Hannah, she's a tough nut to crack. She had some walls up when it came to not just Roarke, but relationships in general, because of what happened with her ex. Roarke had his work cut out for him when it came to changing her mind about him, and I loved how he went about it. The way Hannah and Roarke challenged each other led to some undeniable chemistry that sizzled and sparked every time they were in a room together, it was just waiting to combust. And when it finally did, boy was it worth the wait! This was a really charming story, just like the previous 2 two books in the series. I liked the peek we got at the next series to come, those books should be lots of fun! And I just love how they find a way to weave characters from earlier books into the current ones, it's so fun to see favorites pop up!
