It was interesting but also controversial... Elinor is vain, arrogant and seems concerned with only her own interests... Colonel Brandon interest in Marianne seems creepy (he was 35 when she was just 16) also the way he talks of Marianne being similar to his old lover feels like he is just using Marianne as a replacement... Marianne's ending is so sad she's given away as a trophy to Colonel Brandon and she seems to be like a doormat with no confidence in her own opinions

The story is simple but beautifully expressed. Reading it was like living through the domestic struggles of our protagonist Elinor Dashwood. How, a woman must behave in medieval times is still relevant today. And hence the entire story can easily be related to this century.

I love Jane Austen, but realised I'd never read Sense and Sensibility! The characters are all written so well. Their complexities and personalities so real and well thought out. It was a pleasure to read.
