What a feel good, realistic story. Jake, 20, met Mira, 18, while Jake was on leave from the Army and before he was deployed. His first week of leave he met Mira. From that moment on they were inseparable. Jake was Mira's first. Fast forward eight years. They accidentally ran into each other. Mira had made a promise to herself if she ever ran into Jake again she would tell him he had a son. And she did. From that point on, this is a story about Jake, Mira and Sam learning about each other. But it goes beyond this. It is a story of Jake trying to find a reason to live again after being involved in a major accident while deployed and how he learns to cope with the changes he has to make in his live. It is also a story of Mira trying to become independent and learn to live on her own with her son and not depend on others. There is not a lot of descriptive sex scenes so even your mother could read it. Through a few ups and downs you have your happily ever after. This is one of those books that leaves you with a good feeling, especially because you can realistically see this story unfold. I would definitely recommend.
