O ovoj e-knjizi

Shabalaba Zoo Diaries is a children’s poetry book filled with whimsical rhymes and delightful illustrations. Each poem relates the antics of some creature that may or may not be found in a zoo and can stand alone or come together in this wonderful menagerie. The creatures can be found jumping, running, climbing, dancing, singing, painting and getting into a variety mischief and having lots of fun. The poems are easy to read for those who can and fun to listen to for those who aren’t old enough to read for themselves. The illustrations complement the words beautifully and bring the verses to life.

O autoru

Fred Karpala (author) is a retired actuary and a slowly blossoming poet.

Fred came to Canada when he was eight years old along with his mother and two brothers. He’s lived in several places in Ontario and currently lives in Elmira.

He has three grown children, a daughter Kelly and two sons, Brian and Jeffrey. They populate many of his poems. He also has a bunch of nephews and nieces and other people’s children that have inspired him to write poems for them.

He has been writing poetry since his first niece Jennifer came along and that’s been quite a few years ago. Shabalaba Zoo Diaries is his first book of children’s poetry.
