About the author
Shaheen Akhtar was born in Comilla in Bangladesh, and completed her M.A. in Economics from the University of Dhaka. A novelist and a short story writer, Akhtar has compiled and edited anthologies of women’s writings in Bengal, which have been published in Kolkata and Dhaka. She works for Ain-o-Salish Kendra (ASK), a Human Rights organization.
Ella Dutta is a writer, journalist and translator.She has previously translated short stories by Mahasweta Devi and Paritosh Sen.
