About this ebook

"An adventurous romp . . . will leave you smiling long after the last page is read!" ~ Literary Times

Shylo McBride never thought her little fib about being related to the President would net a proposal from Dimitri Adonis. As stunningly handsome as his Greek god namesake, Shylo is not in want of a husband, but a ticket out west.

Dimitri has his own less-than-noble motives for seducing the travel-minded American debutante, and posing as a wealthy aristocrat.

But as the passionate deceivers struggle with their tangling lies, they soon discover that only beneath the deceptions can true love's sweet embrace be found.

THE INCONVENIENT BRIDES, in series order:
The Bride Wore Spurs
Marrying Miss Shylo
The Marring Kind

THE WILD WOMEN Series:
Untamed

As a reader, I tend to put myself in the position of the characters in a book and try to identify them. However, in this instance it does help to see this story as a romantic farce in order to prevent disappointment. Miss Shylo created a false image of herself and her sister in order to meet her objectives and in so doing, created more problems than any person could keep up with. Dimitri had his own agenda, and thinking that he was pursuing a rich heiress and niece to the President, sets his plans in action. The small party races across America in a bid to find relatives who have much to answer for, and encounter one mishap after the other. There was adventure, heavily laced with dissembling, and a good dose of growing attraction between Shylo and Dimitri, aided by the hand of Dimitri's clumsy uncle. When all the parties eventually meet up, the outcome isn't at all as they expected. I personally find lies and manipulation difficult to handle, and for that reason was a little disappointed in this book. Nevertheless, it is well written and is a standalone novel. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
