Throttle was such a surprise. I know Trace was a character from previous books, but as this series is new to me, I didn't know where anyone else fit in. That didn't matter. This book was written so that the main story completely drew me in. I laughed. I cried. I loved every second of it. At first I wasn't sure about the first person dual perspectives but I really liked it by the end. I couldn't get enough and I cannot wait to read Rev. I need this series and Shauna Allen ' s books will be added to my "stalk release dates" list. If you like Robyn Carr and Jill Shalvis (really this feels like a mix of their styles) read these books.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Shauna Allen is an amazing author! She can be both hilarious and heart-wrenching at the same time. Her characters are always amazing and even her supporting characters are extremely well written. Trace doesn't want to let women into his life, since he has to look out for his son Ryder, who's mother decided it was more important to get high than raise a child after he was born. But he has always been drawn to Tori since she first moved to town. Now that she is the counselor at Ryders school, it's hard for him to stay away from her, and neither of them can seem to do that anyway. I won't go too much into the story since this is something that you should read on your own with no spoilers. I will say it's extremely hard to put down, since so much happens in the story. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll cheer. I can't wait for Micah's story in the next book Rev!
