Book two in the More Than Words series is another emotionally gritty romance that draws readers in and refuses to let go. After throwing the love of his life, Griffin’s discovered that they have a son together and decides he will do whatever it takes to win her back. Britta is engaged and on the cusp of moving on with her life and there is no way she open her heart enough to let Griffin in again. Griffin and Britta are strong, characters that readers can’t help but feel for as they try to navigate the tense emotional roller coaster of the current situations and the emotions that flow between this couple is poignant, gritty and real. They have the sizzling chemistry and the undeniable attraction but the trust just isn’t there and readers can’t help but become caught up in the anticipation of what will this couple have to endure and will they be able to reach that happily ever after stage. The story flows at a steady pace and with lots of uncertainty which keeps readers glued to the pages of this intense and emotion charged romance. The characters really reach out to readers and it is obvious that this couple belong together but proving that one can be trusted is easier said than done and in order to really win the heart, one needs to let go of the past and purge it from their system by sharing the pain with the other and the author has made that painfully clear in this realistically feeling romance that caused me shed more than a few tears.

You Need To Read This Book This is the second book in Shayla Blacks More than words series and this was a marvelous addition. Griffin Reed is trying to win back Britta Stone and his son Jamie after leaving them and making not being in their life for three years. With Keeleys helps and his brother back in his wife he tries to get to know his son. Watching the relationship was great between Jamie and Griffin and seeing how much Britta was really trying do what was right for her son but also try To keep her heart safe. Shayla did a great job that you don't want to put this book down and you keep wanting more. Can't wait for Harlows book.

Get ready for a softer side of Shayla Black. The second in her new More Than Words series, the characters are relatable, the writing is eloquent and the plot left me craving more! The relationship between Griff and Keeley is hysterical, their banter left me laughing more than once (garnering strange looks from my family). But let's talk about our main characters. I love the relationship development between Griff and Britta, it's heart wrenching at times but you really cheer them on hoping for them to be a success. "Touching her is also a comfort, like coming home after a long war. I feel as if I’ve fought myself and exorcised the demons of my past. I’m unshackled but I’m so chained to her that I’ll never be free. I don’t want to be." Can't wait for the next book, this will be a testament - the anticipation makes the end game that much sweeter. I more than need it ;)
